DESPITE not kicking a ball, it was a good weekend for Stow on the Wold.
They remain four points clear at the top of the Tribute Southern Counties North table after title rivals Reading were edged out by the narrowest of margins by third-placed Aylesbury 22-21.
Due to Stow's game with High Wycombe being cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch, Reading had the chance to go level on points with the current league leaders but their defeat means Stow stay top of the pile after 16 games.
They have their rearranged game with Wycombe to play this Saturday.
The second team are also in action at Oddington Road on Saturday as they host Chinnor RFC 2s.
The clubhouse then welcome all to join them for the big Six Nations clash between Wales and England on the TV screens following the two club matches.
