COTSWOLD Chargers made it through to the Gloucestershire T20 cricket final at Bristol or a neutral venue on Sunday, September 13.
North Cotswold Young Cricketers’ under 19s team, pictured right, will face Bristol after only the two semis were played at the County Ground on finals day due to rain.
Bristol beat Thornbury before Chargers defeated Hatherley and Reddings by 32 runs following a three-hour delay.
After being asked to bat first, North Cots scored 149-6, with Jack Groves (34 not out) starring alongside Sam Nicholls (21), Ollie Currill (19) and Darrel Williams (18), plus 27 wides.
With Currill unable to bowl with a back injury, Hatherley motored to 73-1 from 11 overs before spinners Williams and Harry Able stopped the runs and took wickets.
With Williams returning 2-12 off four overs and Able 2-21, Groves and Dan Moore then claimed three wickets each to dismiss their opponents for 117 in the 20th over.
Wicketkeeper Chris Calcott completed four stumpings to move into the top five nationwide.
