YOUNG Kingham equestrian rider Emily Notman has secured a double with the help of trainer Pauline Ricketts.
The 11-year-old won the AGA Pony Bronze League 138cm final at the British Showjumping National Championships and Stoneleigh Horse Show in Warwickshire.
Twenty-six pony and rider combinations tackled a testing course designed by Matthew Hoskins.
Holly Rowsell and Itzy Bitzy III were pipped by Notman and Take a Chance II, who flew around the course in 35.43 seconds.
Notman was also third with Bailey XII and admitted: “It’s very overwhelming because I didn’t even think I would get a place.”
She also won the 138cms Stepping Stones Championship title at the show with her mother Sarah’s 14 year-old gelding Bailey XII after a confident jump-off, stopping the clock at 26.18.
She said: “I didn’t think I could do a double win but it was really close and the other girl rode really well.”
