REAL Racing’s Cotswold sidecar duo shone at the Southern 100 on the Isle of Man.
Wayne Lockey, of Moreton-in-Marsh, and Mark Sayers struggled in a wet practice session and could only qualify second-from-last on the grid.
However, Lockey began the race in style by storming up to sixth into the first corner on the Billown Circuit and held on to fifth for a pleasing finish.
They clinched another fifth place in the longer sidecar championship race and now head to Anglesey on July 25 and 26.
The team need sponsors for the rest of the British Championship and the final road race at Scarborough.
