BOURTON Roadrunners’ mixed team broke the course record in finishing first at Stratford Athletic Club’s Hilly 100 relay race.
There were three husband-and-wife pairs in Chris and Kate Krzywiec, Dennis and Lucy Walmsley and Ian and Niamh Shoemark along with Claire Harrison, Ewen Smith, Mike Smith and Darren Long as each ran a 10-mile leg.
Bourton retained the mixed team trophy in 11 hours, 17 minutes and 56 seconds, which was almost an hour ahead of Eynsham in second.
At the Northleach 10-kilometre race, Tim Heming was second in 40.45 and Steph Lane first woman in 44.43, while Shona Crombie-Hicks was first woman in 38.18 at the Bognor Regis 10k and Steve Edwards finished his 684th marathon in 3.17.36 at Brathay Windermere.
