DAVE Henshaw says Moreton-in-Marsh Cricket Club can enjoy a season of consolidation in Division Two of the Cotswold Hills League.
Moreton suffered relegation from Division One at the end of last season.
Graham Jones continues as Moreton’s first-team skipper and will be supported by experienced deputy David Williams.
“It’s never great to be relegated from a league, but we saw the positives and we have recruited a few new players and increased our playing stock,” said Moreton spokesman Henshaw.
League chairman Ron Douglas is expecting another tight Premier Division – reduced to nine teams due to Bretforton’s late withdrawal.
“The title race could be close again with Shipston-on-Stour, Wellesbourne and Earlswood all being in contention, although there are several clubs who could make things interesting,” he said.
