STOW-on-the-Wold Rugby Club ended a good season on a low after crashing 27-0 at mid-table Beaconsfield in Southern Counties North.
Lack of availability led to a makeshift side but Stow, starting against the wind, limited the hosts to two penalties in the first period and could have scored tries but for poor decision making.
Playing with the wind in the second period, the fourth-placed visitors pushed forward but lost the ball to concede a converted try.
Beaconsfield ran in two more converted efforts as Stow could not break down an organised defence.
