We're always in the mood for a Roast Dinner so if you're wondering if you can cook up a feast in the air fryer - the answer is yes.

There's perhaps nothing more comforting than indulging in a roast chicken (or beef) once the wet and wintery weather arrives.

But as the cost of living continues to cause a strain on our finances, many households will be turning to DIY methods rather than dining out this year.

The kitchen gadget has taken British kitchens by storm in the last year as many swap their traditional ovens out for the nifty appliance.

In fact, the consumer group Which? has released research last year which stated that the air fryers can actually cost three times less to run than an oven.

So if you fancy some sizzling roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings this weekend, we've found a comprehensive recipe on TikTok that will let you do just that.

TikTok roast dinner air fryer recipe explained

Shared by TikTok chef Fraser Reynolds (@fraser_reynolds), the recipe has amassed over 73k views on the video-sharing platform.

In the clip, Fraser shows his followers his Roast Dinner with homemade 'Yorkies' recipes which he described at the time as "by far the best thing [he's] done in the air fryer".

The cook starts by marinating his chicken with garlic, paprika and oregano seasoning.

He later shared the precise quantities in the comments as "1 tbsp of garlic, paprika, oregano and 2-3 tbsp oil," before recommending fresh thyme since it "adds a great flavour".

"Make sure you get behind these knees," Fraser reminds viewers as he finishes marinating the chicken and puts in the air fryer at 190C.

He advises users to cook the chicken for 60 minutes and to flip it halfway through the cooking process.

It's then 'Yorkie Time', Fraser pours cornflour, three eggs, salt and pepper into a bowl before gradually adding milk and mixing until there are no lumps.

The chef then places three ramekins adding a bit of oil to each one before heating it up for three minutes at 200C in the air fryer.

He advises filling up the ramekins with the Yorkshire mixture to about half way and then cooking at 200C for 15 minutes.

When it comes to the potatoes, Fraser suggests cutting them in half and scoring them in thirds before coating them in seasoning ( melted butter, 1 tbsp paprika, garlic and sage) before putting them in the air fryer.

The potatoes should cook for 20 minutes at 200C, according to Fraser's recipe.

You should then flip them over and cook them for a further 10 minutes.

The recipe has proven popular with TikTokers with many taking to the comments.
