STOW-on-the-Wold RFC suffered a frustrating weekend loss to Witney 14-10.
The away fixture was played on Saturday, January 14, as Stow looked to close the gap on league leaders Marlborough.
Witney handed Stow their second away loss of the season, with the black-and-white dynamite winning 11 of all games this season and losing only one at home.
Stow still sit second in the Regional 2 Tribute South Central with 55 points, behind Marlborough with 70 points.
Witney are in third also with 55 points, but Stow's points difference keeps them behind.
Stow's next fixture is against Marlborough on Saturday, 21 at home.
