MORETON Rangers have welcomed a number of new signings to the club in the last week ahead of their opening game of pre-season.
Moreton won their opening match of the summer against Charlford AFC 3-0, in which a number of new faces were involved.
One of those was winger Kyran Beales and he has been signed up for the new season that begins in a couple of weeks.
Rangers also announced that Mani Singh has been re-signed after playing at the club last season.
It signifies an encouraging start to the summer for Moreton, who will be hoping for better this season than they experienced in 2022-23.
Rangers struggled throughout, winning just seven of their 36 games and losing 25 in the Hellenic League Division One.
As for Bourton Rovers, they will compete in the FA Vase for the first time in their history this season and they have discovered who they will face in the second round of qualifying.
Bourton will play one of either Mangotsfield United or Thornbury Town as they look to progress. The winners of that tie will pocket £725 and the losers £225.
Bourton had a slightly more successful season last year, finishing three places higher than their Cotswold rivals Moreton.
Rovers ended the season in 14th position with 13 wins from their 36 matches, but will be looking to push higher up the table this time around.
The season gets underway at the start of August and the league fixtures are expected in the Hellenic League system at some point this week.
The Southern and Northern Leagues will reveal their fixtures on Thursday (Step 3 and 4) and leagues at Step 5 and 6 are to follow, potentially on Friday.
