Young Bourton Roadrunners impressed at the Gloucestershire AAA Cross Country League.

The juniors' second race of the season was held on Saturday, November 2 at Cirencester Park, with a challenging new course.

The course was a large loop with a steady climb, downhill section, and wooded area, and was described as "deceptively tough".

Rosanna Bull took on her first league cross-country race in the under-11 girls category, finishing 18th in a competitive field.

In the under-13 girls' race, Pippa Krzywiec returned to racing, finishing 11th, while Grace Kay continued her good form, coming 15th.

Jake Rowlands was the first home for the club in the under-13 boys' race, finishing in 12th place.

He was followed by Will Harvey in 14th and Joshua Thomas, who is improving with each race, in 22nd place.

Overall, the under-13 boys' team finished in a respectable sixth place.

The under-15 boys' team also had a strong showing, with all runners performing well.

Kay was the first to finish, taking fifth place, followed by Hare in ninth.

Thomas Harvey battled to 13th place, while Noah Alyn-Jones finished in 19th.

The team finished in second place overall.

In the under-15 boys race, Kay came in fifth, followed by Hare in ninth, who is one of the youngest runners in the race, beating boys much older than him.

In 13th was Thomas Harvey, who is aiming to move up the field again as he ups his miles and his stamina improved.

Alyn-Jones continues to get more confident with each race, pacing himself well to move up the field on the final lap to finish 19th.

The group finished second in the team competition in a big and very competitive field.
