Bourton Roadrunners' Alex Pye overcame rough weather conditions to break the three-hour barrier at the Abingdon Marathon.

Pye has been improving with every race over the last year, and this weekend he achieved a major milestone, recording a time of two hours, 59 minutes and five seconds.

Despite windy weather conditions, Pye said it "wasn't too bad to be fair", adding that it "didn't really make a difference".
