Bourton Roadrunners' Susan Hunt claimed first place in her category at the Loch Rannoch Marathon this weekend.

She completed the scenic race in Kinloch Rannoch, Perthshire, Scotland, with a time of four hours, 15 minutes, and seven seconds.

The effort earned her the top spot in the Women's Vet-55 category.

Several club members also competed closer to home in the Lightning Bolt 10K in Chippenham.

Darren Long finished the 10 kilometre course in 38 minutes and 35 seconds.

His partner, Maxine Emes, secured second place in the Women's Vet-40 category with a time of 45 minutes and 37 seconds.

Lisa Braid managed a personal best of 46 minutes and 27 seconds, earning her third place in the same category.

Lee Smith finished in 57 minutes and 57 seconds.

Iain and Claire Cox competed in the Leicester 10K.

Claire finished in 45 minutes and 39 seconds, securing fourth place in the WV40 category, while Iain finished in 47 minutes and 28 seconds, claiming sixth place in the MV60 category.

On the same day, nine junior members of the club travelled to Yate for the first round of this season's Gloucestershire AAA Cross Country League competition.

The under-15 race saw five competitors from the club, with Liam Kay finishing fourth, Edward Hare fifth, and Thomas Harvey seventh.

Noah Alyn-Jones and Oliver Tindal-Robertson finished in 15th and 17th places respectively.

In the under-13 race, Will Harvey finished ninth, with Joshua Thomas in 17th place.

Grace Kay finished 15th in the LU13 category, and William Bell came fourth in the MU11 category.

The club also participated in parkruns across the country.

At Stratford-upon-Avon, Alex Pye set a course personal best with a time of 18 minutes and one second.

George Swayne finished in 19 minutes and 17 seconds.

In Witney, Steph Holton achieved a course personal best with a time of 25 minutes and 17 seconds.

Claire Williams finished in 38 minutes and 42 seconds, while Cleo Carruthers completed the course in 40 minutes and 41 seconds.

As if a marathon was not enough running for a weekend, Susan Hunt ran a 28 minute and 23 seconds parkrun at Forfar Loch near Dundee.
