It was a quadruple-whammy for Bourton Roadrunners' Lee Hutton who bagged four medals at the British Transplant Games.

Held in Nottingham over the weekend, the games saw Hutton clinch one gold, one silver and two bronze medals in the male 60-69 age category.

Hutton's victories were in the 400-metre track event, where he clocked in at one minute and 28.1 seconds; the 100-metre race which he completed in 18.45 seconds; the 1,500 metre heat and the five kilometre road race.

His wife Clare Williams, Hutton's donor, also qualified to participate in the 'live donor category' of the 100 metres.

On Wednesday evening (August 7), the Bugatti 10-kilometre race saw nine Bourton runners participate.

The event was organised by Almost Athletes and Cheltenham County Harriers, and held at the Bugatti Owners Club.

The Bourton pack was led by runner Alex Pye, who finished 16th.

Other participants were Darren Long, Claire Cox, Maxine Emes, Iain Cox, Lorna Shawcross, Arianna Downs, Tony Goodwill, and Annie.

A Roadrunners contingent took on the Solihull Half Marathon over the weekend.

Susan Hunt served as the race-pacer, appointed by event organisers to keep a two-hour and 20 minute pace.

Despite hot weather and a challenging course, Hunt completed the race in two hours, 20 minutes and seven seconds.

Another participant, Linda Edwards, took a brief pause to attend to another runner suffering from dehydration, before continuing and completing her race in two hours, 20 minutes and 11 seconds.

Last week, Bourton's Annie had a double-header.

Having raced in the Bugatti 10 kilometre race, she also took on the Hart 4 off-road relay race at Minley Manor in Hampshire.

Annie and her team completed 10 laps of the four kilometre course within the allotted four-hour period.
