IT was a memorable afternoon for one of the Cotswolds' brightest gymnasts at the recent British Gymnastics South-West Region National Grades.
Lily Giles, 12 from Carterton in Oxfordshire, trains at North Cotswolds Gymnastics and Trampolining Academy (NCGTA) and delivered an excellent performance at the British Gymnastics South-West Region National Grades held on Sunday, March 24.
Giles secured the bronze medal overall, securing a place in the team to represent the South-West Region at the British Gymnastics Women’s Artistic Gymnastics National Development Plan Finals to be held at Stoke on Trent in May 2024.
This victory marks a milestone in the achievements of both Giles and the club, solidifying their place amongst the top clubs in the region.
With this impressive achievement under Giles' belt, she is poised for even greater achievements.
"She is a true inspiration to aspiring gymnasts and everywhere demonstrating the power of dedication, hard work, and unwavering determination," said the club on their Facebook page.
