CHRISTMAS Time is Here at Last – according to a school in the Cotswolds.
This is the name of the Christmas single, recorded by pupils at Great Rissington Primary, which is being released on iTunes.
About 90 children took part in the recording at studios at the home of Gemina Playter, committee member of Friends of Rissington School.
The single was a community effort with the lyrics written by mother Lisa Adsett whose son Harrison, aged 10, played guitar.
Headteacher Liz Bannister said: “It’s really lovely to give the children the experience of being in a real recording studio. It’s a once-in-alifetime opportunity.”
The school has another reason to celebrate after it recently gained ‘outstanding’ in an Ofsted report.
“We were all very pleased.
Everybody works very hard,”
said Mrs Bannister. “The report mentions great community support. The children take park in village litter picks.” All the money raised from the sale of the single will go towards Friends of Rissington School.
