IT will be all aboard the Hogwarts Castle this weekend as Harry Potter fans get the chance to take a spellbinding ride on the famous train.
Loco no. 5972 Olton Hall, which stars as Hogwarts Castle in the Harry Potter movies, has arrived at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway for a two-week stay and will be one of the main attractions of the 25th Anniversary of the Cotswold Festival of Steam.
The engine was gently lowered from its road transporter at Toddington station this week after a long journey by road from its home in Cumbria.
The festival runs from Saturday, May 23 to Tuesday, May 26 and is sure to attract muggles from miles around.
Olton Hall will be working alongside no fewer than seven other locomotives to mark the 25 years since the GWR ran its first train service.
Malcolm Temple, the railway’s commercial director, says: “This is a really magical moment for us – to have what must be the world’s most famous steam engine film star on our railway is a great privilege.
“Over the next couple of weeks there will be plenty of chances to travel into your imagination on trains pulled by this 80-ton film star.”
