A MAN has been caught drink driving in a Cotswold town.
The 45-year-old man was driving on the Fosse Way in Moreton whilst twice over the legal alcohol limit.
The officer who spotted the man saw the Vauxhall Insignia and thought it was trying to evade him.
He has been charged with drink driving and will appear in Cheltenham Magistrates Court on December 3.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "PC Shaw saw a Vauxhall Insignia on the Fosse Way in Moreton-in-Marsh that he thought was trying to evade the officer.
"No prizes for guessing why...
"PC Shaw stopped the car and found the 45 year old man at the wheel to also be 2x over the limit.
"The man has been charged with drink driving this morning and released on bail to attend Cheltenham Magistrates Court on 3rd December.
"If convicted he can expect a ban from driving."
