STUNNING images taken by our readers depict the Beaver Supermoon in all its glory.
Worcester News Camera Club readers looked to the skies to take snaps of the supermoon as it soared over the skies on Friday evening (November 15).
A supermoon is a full moon that occurs near the perigee, the closest point to Earth in the Moon's orbit.
A supermoon appears 7 per cent larger and roughly 16 per cent brighter than an average full moon, although the difference can be difficult to tell to the naked eye.
Full Moons are given names reflecting what is happening in nature at that time of year.
This tradition came from Native American tribes and dates back hundreds of years.
A November moon is traditionally called a Beaver moon as it is the month when beavers normally prepare for the cold by building dams and stocking up on food.
