DESPITE the city being an apparent 'black hole' Hollywood filming, a number of blockbusters have been filmed only an hour away - here's where.

Virgin Media have released a tool which shows users where famous movies have been filmed in the UK and five films have had scenes shot at locations within an hour of Worcester. 

James Bond, Die Another Day : 

The 2002 action film starring Pierce Brosnan had a scene filmed in Gloucestershire. 

The scene in which James Bond was in a car chase with Zao was filmed in the Cotswold village of Bourton on the Water.

Travel time between Worcester and Bourton is 60 minutes.

Star Wars, The Force Awakens: 

The 2015 action adventure movie had scenes filmed across the UK including in Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Cumbria. 

The scene in which Rey confronted Ren was filmed near Milkwall in Gloucestershire.

Travel time between Worcester and Milkwall is 70 minutes.

Bridget Jones's Diary: 

The iconic 2001 romantic comedy had scenes filmed in Gloucestershire and in London. 

Scenes in Bridget's parents home were filmed in Snowshill. 

Travel time between Worcester and Snowshill is 51 minutes.

Enola Holmes: 

Filmed in 2020, Enola Holmes had multiple scenes filming in Kidderminster. 

The scenes at a railway station and the railway station escape scene were filmed at Kidderminster Railway Station. 

Travel time between Worcester and Kidderminster is 33 minutes. 

Atonement: 

The 2007 war drama staring Keira Knightley had scenes filmed in Shropshire, Berkshire, London and East Sussex. 

The scenes at The Homes of the Sisters was filmed near Onibury.
