A MAN from Mickleton has been sentenced after pleading guilty to a number of driving offences.
Jack Langhorn, a resident of the Cotswold village, was given a 12 month community order after taking a car without the owner's consent.
Langhorn pled guilty to taking a vehicle without the owner's consent, driving a motor vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence and using a motor vehicle on a road without insurance.
Cheltenham Magistrates Court sentenced Langhorn to a 12 month community order requiring him to undertake unpaid work on November 5.
The court also disqualified Langhorn from holding a driving licence for six months and ordered him to pay court costs.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "On November 5 2024 Jack Langhorn, a resident of Mickleton, appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates Court in response to a summons for offences investigated by PC Sam Poole your local Beat Manager.
"Langhorn pleaded guilty to taking a vehicle without the owners consent (TWOC), driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a motor vehicle on a road without insurance.
"The court sentenced Langhorn to a 12 month Community Order requiring him to undertake unpaid work.
"The magistrates also disqualified Langhorn from holding a driving licence for 6 months and ordered him to pay court costs.
"Should Langhorn continue to drive on public roads while disqualified he will now be committing a more serious motoring offence than the licence offence dealt with on the 5th and could be liable to up to 6 months imprisonment.
"If any Community Alert member is aware of information or evidence that Mr Langhorn is continuing to drive on public roads then we would be keen to hear about it."
