Site workers on a Bishops Cleeve housing development have been raising awareness for Breast Cancer Now by wearing pink.

The workers, at the Cleeve Gardens development, donned pink as part of Platform Home Ownership's effort to support breast cancer fighters, survivors, and the charity.

The initiative is in line with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which took place in October.

Over the past 20 years, Wear It Pink supporters have raised £41 million for those affected by breast cancer.

The charity funds research across the UK and Ireland, aiming to find a cure for all stages of breast cancer.

Hannah Harding, a sales consultant at Platform, said: "It was great to see our on-site colleagues wearing pink to support and raise awareness for breast cancer.

"Breast Cancer Now is a charity that’s near to all of our hearts here at Platform Home Ownership, and we hope that all the recent support helps us get closer to finding a cure for the disease."

Platform is a housing association that partners with construction firms which prioritise community engagement and charitable contributions.

The development, located just off the A435 at the tip of the Cotswolds, will help meet the demand for affordable housing in the area.

The homes are available through shared ownership from early 2025.
