TRAINS in Worcestershire have been delayed after a member of Evesham's signalling staff was taken ill.
Signal operators are crucial to keeping the railway safe and efficient, and train are unable to pass without them.
A spokesperson for National Rail said: "Signalling staff being taken ill between Moreton-in-Marsh and Worcester Shrub Hill means all lines are closed.
"Trains running between Oxford and Worcester Shrub Hill may be cancelled or delayed.
"Disruption is expected until 11.15am."
Update: Network Rail have said disruption is expected to last until at least 12.15pm.
Network Rail has also said that a replacement signaller is on their way to open the railway as soon as possible.
