The care home's team delivered these in person, meeting with the centre's residents and staff.

Southerndown general manager Arlene Acuavera said: "Our residents have had a great day.

"It is so important to spend time together, reminding ourselves of the people we care for and sharing some positive messages to the community."

She added: "Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental, and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities."

The care home is part of Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK's largest care providers, offering nursing, residential, and respite care.
