HEAVY rain has caused a tree to collapse on a road near Stow.
The tree is currently (September 27) blocking Well Lane.
Police have attempted to remove the tree, however, they do not have the correct equipment and have called for help from Highways.
A spokesperson for the Cotswold Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "A neighbourhood officer was called to reports of a tree down in Stow-on-the-Wold at lunchtime.
"Our officers are very resourceful but she could not be-leaf her eyes and decided this was just a bit too big for the bow saws that we keep in the back of our vehicles.
"Our friends at Gloucestershire Highways have been called and will hopefully get to the root of the matter and have the road open again in no time at all."
