A FLOOD warning has been issued for the river Stour in South Warwickshire.
Forecasted river levels have led to the UK government issuing a flood warning for the river Stour and its tributaries from tonight (Thursday, September 26).
The government guidance states "river levels are forecast to rise at the Shipston gauge as a result of expected heavy rainfall", and adds, "consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected to begin between between 1.45am and 6.45pm (on Friday, September 27)".
People are advised to avoid low lying footpaths and bridges near watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads.
