A clothing store has ventured out of London and into "the hidden gem of the Cotswolds".
Penelope Chilvers opened a store in Stow earlier this month and it has been welcomed with open arms from businesses and residents.
The shop has surpassed all expectations according to the store manager and is a dream come true, even attracting celebrity guests such as Jeremy Clarkson.
Penelope Chilvers said: "We have three great locations already in London and I've always dreamed of having a country store.
"So when the chance came to open a space in the hidden gem, Stow on the Wold, in the location where Cutter Brooks was - I jumped at the opportunity to bring Penelope Chilvers to the Cotswolds.
"We have been unbelievably busy since opening the store, we ended up tripling our target for the whole week in the first two days and the reviews have been amazing.
"Local business owners and stores nearby have all been so welcoming and have all visited."
The shop first welcomed guests with an open evening on September 11, including a visit by Jeremy Clarkson before it officially opened on the following day.
Libby Davis, Penelope Chilvers store manager, said: "After an amazing launch party on Thursday evening, we had a fantastic first trading day on Friday, surpassing all expectations.
"We had lots of lovely locals stopping by to welcome us, all very excited about the new store.
"Penelope was greeting customers, telling them about the collections and the inspiration behind certain designs.
"Saturday was another busy day, there was so much excitement from customers who had travelled to Stow just to see us.
"We even had a couple of return customers from the day before."
One business praised the displays, products and welcoming staff.
Angel Collins, a garden designer who visited the store, said: "I'm Penelope Chilvers' biggest fan, so to have this beautiful store in the heart of the Cotswolds is a big bonus.
"If you are looking for metallic Mary Janes, leopard print shoes, the best cowboy boots which will never wear out, Penelope Chilvers is your dream destination."
