A COTSWOLD salon owner was stunned after her business scooped up three national awards.
Bourton beauty salon, Beautylicious, won the accolades at The British Hair and Beauty Awards.
Although expecting her salon to do quite well at the awards, Verity Edwards-Flaherty, the owner of Beautylicious, was left stunned as the results were read out.
Salon massage therapist, Tiffany Hunter, won bronze for the South West massage therapist of the year, Beautylicious won silver for the South West beauty salon of the year, and Mrs Flaherty won the national community champion for the whole of the UK.
Mrs Flaherty said: "It's amazing and just incredible.
"To think back to when we started in the backroom of a hairdressers 13 years ago and to where we are now, how far we have come is beyond belief.
"We entered for various categories and I expected us to do quite well, but I didn't expect to win an award for the whole country.
"The awards have grown, we have entered before and everyone used to get a certificate but now it's just an achievement to be shortlisted.
"It's just an amazing achievement for us all."
Beautylicious has been in the George Moor Community Centre for almost a decade.
Mrs Flaherty continued: "We have grown and grown, expanded the team and now I think as of next week we will have been in the George Moor Community Centre for a decade.
"When they read out our names I was just stunned, everyone has sent their congratulations and many have done that in person.
"I think I won the national community champion award because we do a lot for the community such as my community beauty show on Cotswold Radio, or the various charities we raise money for.
"We have also taken on a number of apprentices over the last 13 years, we have two or three people doing work experience and I'm also mentoring a couple of girls who struggle in school and want to get into the industry."
