Cotswold District Council's Autumn funding round of its crowd-funding initiative has been launched.
The initiative, named Crowdfund Cotswold, is now accepting proposals for diverse hyperlocal projects that serve the community.
These could range from cycle hubs and cricket clubs to playgrounds and street murals.
Since its launch in 2021, Crowdfund Cotswold has supported projects worth over £1 million.
The council, which aims to encourage innovation and creativity in the area, now provides an opportunity for anyone to pitch for up to £10,000 to go towards a community project.
Applications are currently open, with the deadline on Wednesday, October 16.
To assist interested people or groups, the council has organised a virtual workshop, the Project Creator Workshop, on Tuesday, September 17 at 4pm.
The online event aims to help attendees understand the initiative, learn how to pitch a project, grasp the submission and evaluation processes, and pick up strategies for compelling crowdfunding campaigns.
Council member for communities and public safety, Cllr Lisa Spivey, said: "We have already seen some fantastic projects come to life in our district since we launched Crowdfund Cotswold back in 2021.
“This is an exciting opportunity for more people to bring their ideas forward.
"We can’t wait to see how our communities make use of this round of Crowdfund Cotswold funding.
“With our autumn deadline fast approaching we encourage anyone with ideas to come along to our project creator workshop to learn more about the scheme.”
The projects can be simple and creative, such as a street mural or community garden, or more ambitious, such as hosting large community events.
Applicants do not need to be charities.
Cllr Spivey continued: "We can’t wait to see how our communities make use of this round of Crowdfund Cotswold funding."
