Children can travel for £1 over the summer bank holiday weekend.

Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway (GWSR) has unveiled an exclusive deal for families, offering child tickets for only £1 from Saturday (August 24) to Monday (August 26).

Under this offer, upon purchasing an Adult All-Day Rover ticket, a parent can buy up to three children's tickets, if the children in question are aged between five and 15, while those under five travel for free.

The line travels 14 miles of Cotswold countryside.

The GWSR has highlighted several attractions along the journey.

Commencing from either Cheltenham or Broadway, the railway recommends a visit to the newly opened 'The Cotswold Halt' café in Toddington.

Alternately, 'Wild at Winchcombe', offers free craft activities for children in the Tim Mitchell Building, which is presented by nearby crafting company Larkswold.

Visitors can also visit 'The Coffee Pot Café' for refreshments and ice creams.

Tickets can only be bought online at www.gwsr.com, and must be bought before 12pm on Thursday (August 22).
