A PRE-LOVED clothes shop has announced that it will be moving into a "lovely" Cotswold town with residents set to be surprised by what it offers.

The Wardrobe Shop, a business that offers preowned clothes, will be moving out of its home in Welford to Shipston and the owner is "very excited".

The business plans to expand from just women's clothing into men's through the new store.

Christine Timms, owner of The Wardrobe Shop said: "We are moving from our lovely shop in Welford to Shipston and opening on September 10.

"I am very excited about the move and I'm looking forward to meeting all the new people in the town.

"I saw that the premises in Shipston were up for sale and I love the town so I thought let's do it.

"I've been doing this for over 40 years now and it's great to see how far we have come.

"We offer top-end designers and high-end labels.

"We are an agency because not everyone likes using Vinted or eBay, so they bring their pre-loved clothes into the shop, we assess and then we put them up in the store, and it works quite well."

The Wardrobe Shop closed in Welford on August 10 after eight years in the village.

Miss Timms continued: "Most of our customers travelled to the shop anyway and all Welford had was us and a couple of pubs so Shipston has more to offer, so I think it is the right time.

"It's a win-win for everyone and I think a lot of people will be quite surprised with what we do.

"A lot of ladies turn over their wardrobes every season, sellers get money for their used clothes and buyers get desirable, quality clothes at a fraction of the price.

"We are a brick and mortar shop because I still think a lot of people still think it's nice to touch and feel things when shopping and it's much better to have that great personal experience."

The store will be moving into 18 Sheep Street.
