Fairytale Farm has been recognised as England’s fastest-growing farm attraction in a recent survey conducted by VisitEngland.

The survey revealed the visitor numbers for the farm had 130 per cent growth from 2019 to 2023, making it the leading farm attraction during that period.

Fairytale Farm, which is based in Southcombe, Chipping Norton, also recorded a 74 per cent rise in visitor numbers between 2022 and 2023.

Nick Laister, the owner of Fairytale Farm, said: "We are absolutely thrilled with the new data from VisitEngland, published last month.

"I think this has been partly down to the new investments that we have made in the site."

In 2023, the farm unveiled a £250,000 development project known as Fairy Dell, which features giant toadstools for visitors to explore.

Mr Laister added: "We are particularly proud that this development is inclusive, with high-level walkways accessible to wheelchair users."

Fairytale Farm also invested more than £100,000 in its Dino Valley area.

It introduced new dinosaur models, including one which comes out of a pond and surprises visitors with a splash of water.

According to Mr Laister, these investments have contributed to the growth of Fairytale Farm.

However, he also attributed their success to the hardworking team at the farm, adding: "Our success is also a testament to our fantastic team.

"Visitors consistently highlight our staff as a key part of their experience, praising their welcoming nature and inclusivity."

Adding to their accolades, Fairytale Farm received a Travellers’ Choice Award from TripAdvisor in July, placing it among the top 10 per cent of attractions worldwide.

Mr Laister added: "The past 12 months have been truly fantastic for Fairytale Farm.

"We are already excited about the positive response to our new 2024 attractions, including a unique new dinosaur in Dino Valley that promises to surprise visitors...It is an exciting time for us."

In addition to its attractions, Fairytale Farm also announced the opening of a Learning Hub offering "creative and fun" learning experiences for children of all ages, starting in September, run by "qualified teachers and experts".
