BBC Hereford and Worcester is set to host its first-ever Community Games.
The station hopes the event will bring people together and provide a day of free family-friendly fun during the school holidays.
Teams from across Herefordshire and Worcestershire will engage in activities such as archery, curling, a kayak race, laser clay pigeon shooting, stone-skimming, welly-wanging, a pugil stick tournament, and even riding a rodeo sheep before the general public are invited to participate.
The Community Games are scheduled for Friday, July 26, at the University of Worcester’s Lakeside Campus in Holt.
The event runs from 7.30am until 2pm with Tammy Gooding and Elliott Webb broadcasting their programmes live from the event.
Rhidian Jones, executive editor of the BBC Hereford and Worcester said: "Football may not have come home this summer, but we want to bring the spirit of sporting competition, teamwork and, most importantly, fun home to Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
"I can’t wait to see everyone enjoying all the activities – it should be a great day out for the whole family".
