GP SURGERIES in the North Cotswolds have been ranked through a NHS survey by the people who use them. 

The GP Patient Survey for 2024 has revealed the worst and best GP practices based on what residents had to say. 

Over two million people from across the UK answered the independent survey which was run by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England. 

The survey ranked practices on their patient's level of satisfaction with the overall experience. 

The majority of GP practices in the North Cotswolds ranked well above the national average of 74%. 

Cotswold Medical Practice in Bourton came out on top with a 96% overall experience rating.

Almost everyone, 99% of respondents, said that they had trust and confidence in the healthcare professional they saw at Cotswold Medical Practice.

Shipston Medical Centre ranked the lowest in the North Cotswolds with 76%, but sill remained above the national average. 

The best to worst ranked GP's in the North Cotswolds:

1. Cotswold Medical Practice: 93%

2. Chipping Campden Surgery: 81%

3. White House Surgery: 93%

4. New Barn Close Surgery: 93%

5. Chipping Norton Health Centre: 68%

6. Mann Cottage Surgery: 91%

7. Shipston Medical Centre: 76%

The latest survey comprised around 2.56 million questionnaires sent to patients aged 16 or over registered with GP practices in England from January 2 to March 25, 2024.

Nearly 700,000  patients completed and returned a questionnaire, resulting in a national response rate of 27.3%.
