A BUSINESS was tickled pink at its launch party earlier this month.
Pink feather boas were donned and rose fizz flowed at the launch of PR agency The Cotswold PR Company, which took place at Henry’s Seafood Bar & Grill in Cirencester on June 12.
The Cotswold PR Company, which is based in Cirencester, has been established by Jo Welch, who boasts 35 years of experience working in the PR sector.
She is joined in the business by Amber Anderson, a recent Russell Group university graduate.
Over 60 people attended the launch party, with guests treated to pink canapes and fizz across the afternoon.
Those at the party were given branded pink feather boas upon arrival, and entertainment was provided by local band Pip and the Bad Seed. In her welcome speech, Jo discussed how PR has evolved over the last three decades.
She remembered her early career as “the heady days of 1980s Ab Fab”, where editorial articles were secured over champagne and business was conducted face to face.
Today, Jo embraces methods both traditional and current when delivering client brand strategies.
“It is all too easy these days to be ‘remote’ and ‘virtual,’” she said. “I continue to place huge importance on building personal relationships with clients, influencers, industry contacts and the media through face-to-face meetings and events.”
