Two of Oxfordshire's best young talents will be returning to the region as part of live-shows for charity.

BAFTA winning children's TV presenter Maddie Moate is set to make a return to Witney on July 6, performing two live shows at local charity Rafiki Thabo Foundation's Family Fun Day.

Maddie is the host of Cbeebies ‘Maddie’s Do You Know?’ and CBBC’s ‘Show Me The Honey’, but the talented presenter also keeps honey bees.

In her ‘Busy Bees’ live show, Maddie will answer the audience's BEE-rillant questions as she teaches attendees about foraging, honey production, and the importance of bees as pollinators.

Having grown up in Witney, Maddie said: “I am so excited to bring my love of bees to the stage and doing so to help raise funds for this amazing charity, and on my home turf, makes it even more special!”

Joining Maddie for her second show will be Banbury's Harry Baker, who recently received his 50th cap playing for England's cerebral palsy football team and who now features on the wall of fame at St George's park.

Last year Maddie and Harry summitted Kilimanjaro together to help raise profile and funds for Rafiki Thabo.

Now they will reunite to excite children and adults alike with their live show 'Maddie and Harry’s African Adventure’.

The Family Fun Day takes place at Cokethorpe School, in Witney, from 2-6pm on Saturday, July 6.

Crowds can expect plenty of funny stories and curious facts with photos to talk attendees through the adventure themselves in a one-off live show.

Tickets will be available for £5, £15 per family, via Eventbrite by searching ‘Maddie Moate’.

A patron to Rafiki Thabo Foundation, Harry said: “I am so excited to share our stories from Kilimanjaro with Maddie, it was my biggest physical challenge to date and such an incredible experience.

"This charity is so close to my heart and I love every opportunity to help them raise awareness and funding so that they can help more children into education.”

Children will have the opportunity to meet and have their photos taken with Maddie and Harry, and there will be plenty of fun, games, BBQ, bar, treats, live music and fabulous stalls for the whole family.

All proceeds from the Family Fun Day will go towards Rafiki Thabo’s programmes in Kenya, Uganda, and Lesotho, where they remove barriers to education for disadvantaged children through school bursaries, improving the learning environment, school meals programme and support of children and young people living with disabilities.
