A 56-year-old man has been accused of assaulting a young boy back in the early 1980s.
Trevor Winstone, of High Street, Eynsham, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (June 6) charged with five counts of indecent assault on a boy under the age of 16.
It is alleged the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was aged between seven and nine at the time of the offences.

The court heard that the alleged offences also occurred during the late 1980s.
Winstone has not yet been asked to make a plea to offences.
His case has been adjourned to be next heard at Oxford Crown Court on July 4. The hearing will be for plea and trial preparation.
