TWO staff members at a Moreton hotel have been given prestigious accolades at their company awards.
The Coaching Inn Group, which operates 35 hotels and inns across the country including the White Hart Royal held an awards evening for staff.
Bill Ramsay was named the General Manager of the Year and Stefan Apredoaei was named Bar Person of the Year.
Mr Ramsay said: "These are the sixth awards I have been to and I am over the moon to have been given this award.
"We have built up a great team here at The White Hart Royal and these accolades are really a tribute to everyone.
"The hotel performs well but I didn't expect to win.
"Normally I just say it's all good and just roll on but I actually became quite emotional, but that's how it goes sometimes.
"We have an amazing team and one of the lowest staff turnovers in the company.
"When you have a good team, what you need to fall into place, falls into place."
Mr Ramsay has worked at the White Hart Royal for six years and in the hospitality industry in the Cotswolds for almost 20 years.
Mr Ramsay continued: "We try to make everyone that comes through our doors as welcome as possible and we have one mystery guest who comes in every month to make sure everything is in order.
"We were ranked second highest in the company by the mystery guests.
"Stefan is also amazing, he joined the team just after covid and has not had anything missing in his stock takes for 35 months in a row.
"Speak to anyone in the industry and they will say that that's remarkable, in over 30 years I have not seen anything like it.
"It was long overdue because his bar management is exceptional, it was a no-brainer, he is untouchable."
Mr Apredoaei who was born in Romania, said: "It is a real pleasure to work behind the bar in such a friendly town with the most supportive colleagues.
"It was my first time at the awards and it's great that my work has been recognised.
"Lots of people are still asking questions and my team is very happy for me.
"I wasn't expecting to win the award, but it was nice to get it."
