A barber shop worker had a hot drink thrown over her after a man was told that she could not cut his hair.
The staff member from Zena The Barbers in the George Moore Community Centre on George Moore Road was assaulted at around 8.20am on May 18.
The man became aggressive after staff said that there were no appointments available.
The man then threw a hot drink at the woman before pushing her against the wall and verbally abusing her.
A Gloucestershire Constabulary spokesperson said: "The victim was not injured during the incident but shaken by what happened.
"The offender was described as being a man between the ages of 40 and 45 who was around 6ft tall and had dark hair and a beard.
"At the time of the incident he was wearing a light blue polo top and dark blue jeans.
"Enquiries are ongoing and we're appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has mobile phone footage to contact us quoting incident 75 of May 21."
