RESIDENTS of Shipston woke up to find out that the only bank in town had been broken into.
The Lloyds bank was broken into on Friday.
A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said: "This was a burglary and happened at 3.55am on April 5.
"Offenders gained entry to the building but fled empty handed."
The bank is yet to reopen after the ordeal, with the door currently boarded up.
A sign by the door reads: "Due to an incident, we've had to temporarily close this branch.
"The nearest branch is Moreton-in-Marsh."
The police are seeking anyone with information, or dash cam and doorbell footage in the area to contact www.warwickshire.police.uk/tua or call 101 quoting incident 27 of April 5.
