Children from Stow-on-the-Wold Primary School have taken part in an art competition to share how they feel about the area they live in.
They conveyed their love for local landmarks through different art forms in the competition titled 'LOVE Stow'.
The event saw children revealing aspects of Stow they loved, which included Ella’s Toy Shop, Roly’s Fudge Pantry and the Cotswold Sweet Company.
The winner of the competition was an exquisite painting of The Sheep on Sheep Street by eight-year-old Dolly Siddall.
The artwork by the young participants was showcased at the Beechwood Park retirement community.
Elle Gower, retirement living advisor at Beechwood Park, said: "Stow-on-the-Wold Primary School has a wonderful relationship with both our staff and residents, and we were astounded by the beautiful pieces of art they produced – they really are a talented bunch of children!"
Choosing the winners wasn't an easy task due to the high standards, but Eva Leighton, nine, Ella Goode, 10, and Dolly Siddall, eight, took the top spots.
The winners were rewarded with art sets and for Ms Siddall, who clinched the winning title, a meal at the onsite Slate & Grain brasserie, bar and coffee lounge for her and her family.
Both the organisations are eager to continue their joint efforts in recognising and celebrating the emerging artistic talent in Stow.
Rebecca Scutt, headteacher of Stow-on-the-Wold Primary School, helped the students brainstorm ideas around the 'LOVE Stow' theme.
Ms Scutt said: "We have a strong relationship with Beechwood Park through our many creative endeavours – and were thrilled with the feedback from residents on the children’s artwork.
"All the children involved loved the experience and we’re looking forward to the next competition."
The pupils have been frequently visiting Brio's Beechwood Park, reciting poetry and engaging in festive activities at the residential development.
Beechwood Park serves as a vibrant retirement community offering modern one to three-bedroom apartments available for buying, renting or part-buy, part-rent options.
It's equipped with a wellness suite, hobby room, roof terrace, landscaped gardens, fitness studio, outdoor exercise trail, and the Slate & Grain brasserie, bar and coffee lounge.
