The final additions to this summer’s Nocturne Live concert series at Blenheim Palace have been announced.

Soft Cell, M People’s Heather Small and Heaven 17 will perform on a triple bill.

Soft Cell reformed in 2018 and performed a sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena, featuring hits such as Tainted Love and  Say Hello, Wave Goodbye.

The duo - consisting of Marc Almond and Dave Ball – defined the sound of British pop in the 1980s.

Marc Almond said: “To me, Soft Cell has always been a fluid thing. Dave and I will get together when we have something new to say, or something to celebrate.

"We’ll do things when the time feels right.

"Whenever we do something together, it feels like it might be the last time. And, at that moment, it is.

"We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Blenheim Palace in June.”

Dave Ball added: "I'm really excited about Soft Cell performing this special one-off show in such a historic and unique location, and look forward to seeing everyone in June."

Heather Small is best known as lead singer of the 10 million-selling 90s group M People, who released a string of international chart-topping albums and singles including the 1993 smash hit Moving On Up.

And Heaven 17,  who formed in Sheffield in 1980, went on to become one of the most successful synth-pop acts of the time with an array of hits including 1983’s  Temptation.

They join three era-defining British pop acts Sugababes, Melanie C, Shaznay Lewis, 10-time Grammy-winning Chaka Khan, disco legends Sister Sledge, party-starting funk group Fatback Band, multi-million-selling Australian pop group Crowded House.

Nine-time Grammy-winning US singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, and Mercury and Brit-nominated duo Turin Brakes have already been announced.

The Nocturne Live concert series sees Blenheim Palace's courtyard converted into a spectacular 10,000-capacity open-air live music venue.

Since its inception in 2015 Nocturne Live has become one of the UK’s most popular stately home concert experiences.

Over the years the series has presented shows from a host of huge international stars including the likes of Lionel Richie, Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Nile Rodgers, Lauryn Hill, Noel Gallagher, Gregory Porter, Van Morrison, Tears for Fears, Gladys Knight, Elvis Costello, Simple Minds and Ennio Morricone among many others.

The event runs from June 13 - 16 and tickets, along with a limited number of VIP packages - which provide an exclusive opportunity to dine in the State Rooms of Blenheim Palace - are available from www.nocturnelive.com.
