An internationally esteemed flower and garden photographer is set to stage a book signing and showcase in Broadway.
The event at Broadway Contemporary, set to take place on Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23, will offer attendees a rare viewing of Clive Nichols' images.
Mr Nichols, who is self-taught and is known globally for his ability to use natural light to produce almost otherworldly renderings of gardens and flora, lives in rural Oxfordshire.
He has visited world-renowned gardens, capturing their essence through his deft, "painterly" style, resulting in an Instagram following of more than 171,000 fans.
He has received various awards down the years and visited King Charles’s private garden in Scotland, Lord Rothschild's private garden in Corfu, and Lord Heseltine's private garden in Oxfordshire.
His latest book, entitled 'Brilliant English Gardens', features shots from his 27 favourite locations and will be available for signing during the event.
All images are presented as double-page spreads, crafted to transport each reader into the heart and soul of the gardens.
Beyond the book signing, nearly 30 selected images from Mr Nichols' collection will be unveiled.
Hand-picked and curated in close cooperation with Broadway Contemporary, attendees will have the opportunity to view these pieces, which will all framed and displayed to the public for the very first time.
Mr Nichols' work has appeared in hundreds of books, as well as in countless magazines, calendars, greetings cards and brochures.
Broadway Contemporary is located in the Cotswold village of Broadway, and was established in late 2023 by art expert, Gary Thompson.
It offers offers contemporary and impressionist art collections from local and national artists in the mediums of art, sculpture and design, in addition to a selection of restored and bespoke mid-century furniture pieces.
Built on Mr Thompson's conviction that "art should be enjoyed as part of life", the Mr Nichols' signing and exhibition exemplifies this mission.
The Gallery also aims to offer a unique opportunity to artists and creatives for events, including book signings and exhibitions all housed in a space right in the heart of Broadway.
