A SALON that was "destroyed" by flooding has bounced back bigger and better after bagging three awards.
Love Hair, on Broadway's high street, was forced to close temporarily last year after water gushed through the salon's ceilings.
Nearly a year later, the salon has recovered from its "devastating" flood and won three county-wide awards for the best-refurbished salon, best salon for hair extensions and most sustainable salon at the Salon Awards 2023.
Owner Katie Hemming said: "The journey to excellence was not without its challenges.
"Following the flood that impacted the salon, Love Hair emerged stronger than ever.
"We have always believed in finding that silver lining, and after the tears and devastation, we saw the opportunity to address the growing needs of Love Hair.
"So it was a great team effort to redesign our destroyed salon and create an even more inviting space, combining functionality, style and an atmosphere of clean living."
The floods led to part of the salon's ceiling collapsing, and the staff was forced to cancel appointments while the space was redesigned.
Ms Hemming said she could not be more proud of the team's efforts, which have contributed to the salon's rebuild and the awards.
"We are truly honoured to receive these prestigious awards," she added.
"It not only recognises our team's resilience but also a firmer commitment to excellence, sustainability and innovation in the hairdressing industry.
"This achievement is a testament to the passion and dedication of our talented stylists and the support of loyal clients.
"Love Hair remains at the forefront of the hairdressing industry, setting new standards for excellence, sustainability, and client satisfaction.
"These awards underscore Love Hair's role as a transformative force, driving positive change in the hair care landscape."
This is not the salon's first award and it received the Hairdressers Journal Creative Hairdressing Award earlier last year.
Love Hair has been a well-known salon on Broadway High Street for the past ten years.
