A COTSWOLD man has been has been cleared of a count of racially aggravated harassment following a jury trial.
We previously reported James Lofthouse, 43, had been in court charged with two counts of racially aggravated behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Lofthouse, of West End in Kingham, denied both counts and went on trial at Southwark Crown Court in October.
On Friday, (October 27), Lofthouse was acquitted of one of the counts.
The jury failed to reach a verdict on the second.
The Crown Prosecution Service will now decide whether to proceed with a retrial on the second count.
The case has been listed for mention at the court on November 15.
