A LOCAL clay shooter has recently been crowned a world champion after winning the title in Greece last month.
Luke Russell, from Chipping Campden, won gold whilst representing Great Britain at the World Compak Clay Shooting Championships in Pschana.
Competing in the Junior Team GB side with Theo Coleman and Tristan Hockey, they had four days of intense shooting competition.
After a tense final days shoot, the team brought home gold.
Russell, first represented Gloucestershire back in 2018 but is now a world champion and has recently qualified as a shooting instructor.
A former student at Harper Adams University, Russell is now looking to pursue a career in clay shooting.
