This is the view from above as firefighters remain at the scene of last night’s lightning strike at the power plant near Cassington.
Fire crews were called shortly after 7.17pm to Severn Trent Green Power’s facility off the A40.
It was believed lightning struck an anaerobic digester at the site, causing an explosion and fire that could be seen from surrounding villages.

At the height of the fire, 40 fire and rescue personnel helped deal with the blaze.
Two fire engines could be seen at the Severn Trent Green Power site this morning (Tuesday, October 3), including an aerial appliance.
Drone pictures showed damage to three gas holders, with torn green plastic.
