A pile of rubbish including wood and tyres was found on fire in Broadway.

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Evesham and Malvern fire stations were called to an area of Snowshill Road yesterday (Wednesday, August 23) at about 3pm.

They were joined by off-road and restricted access vehicles from Malvern and Whitchurch fire stations.

“A fire, around 5m by 5m, consisting of wood, tyres and waste materials was extinguished using one hosereel jet. Drag hooks were also used,” said a fire service spokesman.

“There were no casualties and no other emergency services attended. The incident was marked as pending closure at 6.32.”
