RESIDENTS "finally" have their very own cinema in Chipping Norton.
Claire Beswick, founder and CEO, of the Living Room Cinema, said she hopes to bring the cinema experience to tight-knit communities in the Cotswolds.
The cinema has been much awaited by residents, who have wanted a silver screen to come to the area for years.
She said: "We're so grateful that the reaction from locals has been so positive. One comment we keep hearing is 'Finally!
"We've been waiting for a cinema for decades!', so we feel pretty good about our decision to invest in and serve the lovely Chipping Norton community.
"We were fortunate to receive a successful reception at our Liphook cinema, and we hoped that bringing another cinema to a small community would elicit the same enjoyment within the local population."
Since opening, visitors have given the cinema a very warm welcome into the community.
She said: "Our overarching aim is to bring the best in cinema to small, tight-knit communities, and create a destination venue where local people can gather, both to indulge in the escapism of cinema, and spend time with friends, family, and members of their community.
"We also plan to involve ourselves closely with the people and organisations of Chipping Norton, whether this be working with local schools to teach students about the film industry, raising money for local charities, getting involved with local initiatives or hosting community events."
Visitors on the opening night had a fabulous time at the new cinema.
Miss Beswick said: "In the few days we've been open we have received some wonderful feedback and such a warm welcome from Chipping Norton and surrounding communities.
"Opening night guests had a fabulous time, and we've had lovely responses from so many guests regarding the comfort of our seats, our delicious hand-crafted cocktails, and all the lovely, little details that make us who we are.
"The best part has been seeing our guests' faces as they enter the auditorium, the wow factor when they fully realise we’re not a multiplex and they’re about to have a luxury movie-watching experience!"
