CHIPPING Campden has celebrated a twinning anniversary with a French commune.
The Cotswold town and Pont-d'Ouilly, in northwest France, marked their Ruby anniversary over the weekend.
Chairman of Chipping Campden Town Council, Chris Jones, and vice-chairman Patrick Spink travelled to Pont-d'Ouilly on behalf of the town.
There, they took part in the opening ceremony of Promenade Chipping-Campden, a sign of appreciation for over 40 years of friendship.
“The people of Pont-d'Ouilly really made us feel welcome,” said councillor Jones.
"And we are very grateful for the hospitality and kindness shown to us during our stay with them.
"The Twinning with our friends in France remains as strong and important today as it was more than four decades ago”.
